Labor and Delivery: Zia's Dramatic Entrance Into the World

We stayed at the hospital for two days. By the time we made it into our room on Monday morning, it was about 3:30am. We settled down - Andee in the hospital bed, Michael in a cot and Zia in a bassinet. She took to nursing immediately - finding her mother's breast moments after they placed her back on her belly. She preferred being swaddled since those arms and legs seemed to extend out into nowhere.
