Pre-Wedding Preparations

Okay, how's this for friends and family love and support... Michael and I wanted pumpkins at the wedding. Then I got the bright idea of carving them into jack-o-lanterns. Well, we had about thirty pumpkins (picked up a few weekends earlier with Dad Schwartz and Pete's car). So we decided to have a pumpkin carving party a couple of days before the wedding. As my Dad says, "Carving one pumpkin is one thing. Carving thirty pumpkins in the same night is an entirely different story." We etched and slashed and cut and carved and gooped and gunked for hours upon end. Every single person there was so helpful and it was a lot of fun. Well, I say that. I don't think any of them would do it again.
