NYC Wedding Reception

NYC Wedding Reception pics

Rather than having regular flowers on the tables, I wanted plants. Live plants that could be used again. Mom, Dawn, Jennifer and I went to the plant district and found ivy and chili peppers (for Michael, of course) and some little flowers. Each table had this little plant (all hand-set by Jennifer) and some gourds and squashes and some candy corns and confetti and then fish. Beta fish. Mom and Dawn decided since Michael loved fish so much (and I sarcastically mentioned that we might as well have fish on the tables), that we should. They, together, decided that we HAD to have them. And Mom called all over town to find these fish. It was a surprise for Michael. And it worked. We got to the art gallery after taking our pictures and Michael went inside and came back out and looked at me and said, "Sweetie, there are FISH on the table." Hee, hee. It worked quite well. My cousin's son, Ricky, filled all the bowls with their rocks and put all the fish in the bowls. I think he named most of them, too.
