San Gimignano
Shortly into our walk, we came across a "fray-end" (as we call our animal friends). He followed us quite a ways.
An excerpt from my journal:
About an hour into our hike, we came to a dead end - a road that led to two private properties. It looked like we were supposed to follow this one road through a vineyard. The book mentioned that the proprieter was very friendly toward walkers, but it looked like he had become unfriendly towards walkers cause there was now a very definite fence with a very definite sign and the very definite point that we would be trespassing. We decided not to risk getting yelled at in Italian and turned back.
