Firenze
Our final day in Firenzie was quite a delight. We decided to take a later train to Padua, which was a good thing. We discovered the Museo and Cathedral of San Marco. It has acquired a huge amount of Guido di Pietro, aka Fra Angelico's works. Unbelievably, we almost missed the monks cells. It was on another floor and we couldn't find it. Eventually, we did, to our great delight. Each cell had one fresco painted by Fra Angelico (he was part of their order). I thought it was funny cause it seemed like these monks had bigger rooms than our studio in NYC!
