Sigh. I don't know WHY Michael wanted so many pictures of our food, but he did. Once again, I'm eating ribollita. Once again, he's eating rice (or the risotta special for the evening). For our second course, Michael had purple steak.
Before dinner, we stopped off at Santo Spirito, just to see Filippino Lippi's Madonna and Child with Saints. Filippino Lippi is my favorite Renaissance artist. He uses such bright colors. His work almost looks like a cartoon. This particular piece has a section of incredible detail. It composes a section of the city in the distance. Quite detailed and beautiful.
