Firenze
And here we are. Freshly restored. The cathedral was closed for restoration, but the chapel was open. Luckily. Unfortunately, they had a 15 minute time limit and a group of school kids came right after we did. So we didn't get to spend as much time in the chapel as Michael wanted. The story told in the frescoes was pretty fascinating. I know, it's a story we all know, but to see it as it was passed along before reading was common is pretty neat. It was also fun to compare the different artists. Three different artists worked on this chapel: Masolino, Masaccio, and Filippino Lippi.
