Arezzo

We really wanted to get into Il Duomo to see another one of Piero della Francesca's masterpieces. This one was Mary Magdalene. It was funny, after all that anticipation, we got inside and had trouble finding this fresco. It was off to the side of the altar, kind of buried in a shadow from these magnificent frames from another work of art. It was really tiny, too. Apparently, Piero put some other projects on hold to finish this important piece of art. Funny - the church didn't seem to hold his work in high esteem.
